For families living in MVP Colony or anywhere along MVP Double Road, this is the nearest TinyKiddo, and being on the ground floor it is an easy one to walk into with a pram.

Everything here is pure cotton, bio-washed so it is soft from the first wear, and dyed without azo dyes. For a baby that matters more than for the rest of us: their skin is thinner than an adult's and against cloth almost around the clock. It is also the reason a shop still earns its place next to a website — how heavy a cotton is, and how much it gives, are things your hand tells you immediately and a photograph never will.

The city's climate makes the case as well. Visakhapatnam is hot for a long part of the year and humid for most of it, and a synthetic blend that seems fine in a cool room traps heat against a baby with no way of saying so. Breathable, loose, quick to dry and easy to wash is the whole brief.

The range starts at newborn and grows with the child: bodysuits, muslin swaddles and washcloths, frocks, boys' kurta and dhoti sets, everyday co-ord sets, bedding, mosquito nets and a small selection of baby toys. Sizing is worth asking about in person. Age labels are not consistent between brands, and a gift bought a size out usually goes unworn. Bring your child or their current measurements and our team will advise properly. Anything that does not fit can be exchanged.
