That changes what it is for: a good share of what leaves this shop is a gift, bought on the way to a naming ceremony or a first birthday, by someone who wants to see and feel the cloth before they hand it over.

So the range here is laid out to be compared rather than searched. Pure cotton throughout, bio-washed so it is soft on the first wear rather than the fifth, and coloured without azo dyes. Those are not label words when the wearer is a few weeks old — a newborn's skin is thinner than an adult's and in contact with cloth almost the entire day, so what the fabric is made of and what was used to colour it are the two questions worth asking, and both are easier to answer with the garment in your hand.

There is a Visakhapatnam-specific reason for the cotton as well. The city is hot for most of the year and humid for nearly all of it. A blend that feels fine in an air-conditioned shop will hold heat against a baby who has no way of saying so, which is why the whole range is built to one specification: breathable, loose, quick to dry and easy to wash often.
