Everything on the rails here is pure cotton, bio-washed so it is soft from the first wear rather than the fifth, and dyed without azo dyes. That last part matters more for a baby than for anyone else: their skin is thinner than an adult's and in contact with cloth all day and all night. It is also the honest reason to visit a shop rather than only a website — the weight and the give of a cotton are things you judge by hand, and a photograph cannot show you either.

Vizag's weather does most of the arguing for cotton. It is hot for a long stretch of the year and humid almost all of it, and a synthetic blend that feels fine in a showroom traps heat against a baby who cannot tell you they are uncomfortable.
